James Dobson and his Focus on the Family's latest censorship attempts are
covered by Americans United for Separation of Church State in a recent fund
raising letter.

According to the letter, Dobson has unleashed a "highly orchestrated,
nationwide censorship campaign" to restrict access to materials that fail
the "traditional family values" litmus test in PUBLIC LIBRARIES!

Dobson rants from 2,300 radio stations and claims an audience of 4 million.
FoF raked in over $79 MILLION last year alone. Now they are on America
OnLine as well.

These self proclaimed moral experts are turning their resources on
public libraries. Among books, magazines, and newspapers considered
"subversive" are such classics as _The Catcher in the Rye_, _Of Mice and
Men_, and _I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings_.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!! They are also demanding removal of the recent
_Leaving the Fold: Testimonies of Former Fundamentalists_. I wonder why?

Don't look now, but the stealth thought police are probably "helping" YOUR
public library RIGHT NOW to identify and remove items that "subvert
traditional families" or "promote secular humanism". Call them up and see
if they have had any "help" lately and express your position on such
censorship.
