GOD'S WORD AGAIN WITHOUT COMMENT 

   Once again we will let the Bible speak for itself to show that it contains 
unsavory elements and is at times inconsistent and contradictory.  The follow-
ing passages are quoted without comment except for bracketed [ ] information 
necessary to clarify meaning.  The quotations were topically selected and then 
the topic separated by asterisks (*****) from other biblical quotations with 
which they conflict.

   And your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a 
day: from time to time shall you eat it. And you shall drink water by meas-
ure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time shall you drink. And you shall 
eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that 
comes out of man.  And Yahweh [the LORD] said, Even thus shall the chil-
dren of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive 
them. Then said I, Ah Sovereign Yahweh [LORD]! Behold, my soul has not 
been polluted; for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that 
which dies of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abominable flesh 
into my mouth. Then he said to me, See, I have given you cow's dung for 
man's dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it (Ezek. 4:10-15, Bethel 
Bible).

   And now, O you priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not 
hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, says 
Yahweh [the LORD] of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will 
curse your blessings; yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not 
lay it to heart.  Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and will spread dung upon 
your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you shall be taken away with 
it (Malachi 2:1-3, Bethel Bible).

   But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to 
speak these words?  Hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, 
that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss (Isa. 36:12, 2 
Kings 18:27, KJV).

   Therefore, behold, I will... cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth 
against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel (1 Kings 14:10, 
KJV).

   Behold, I will... cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and 
him that is shut up and left in Israel (1 Kings 21:21, KJV).

   Oholibah [the younger sister symbolizing Jerusalem in Ezekiel's allegory of 
the two whores], her sister, saw it [her sister's destruction from harlotry], 
but she surpassed her sister in lust and outdid her in playing the whore. 
She too was infatuated with Assyrians, viceroys and governors, all handsome 
officers in full dress and riding on horseback. I saw that she too had let 
herself be defiled.  Both had gone the same way, but she carried her for-
nication to greater lengths: she saw male figures carved on the wall, sculpted 
forms of Chaldeans picked out in vermilion, with belts around their waists 
and flowing turbans on their heads. All had the appearance of high Babyloni-
an officers, natives of Chaldea. When she set eyes on them she was infatuat-
ed, and sent messengers to Chaldea for them. The Babylonians came to her to 
share her bed, and defiled her with fornication; she was defiled by them 
until her love turned to revulsion.  When she made no secret that she was a 
whore and let herself be ravished, I recoiled with revulsion from her as I 
recoiled from her sister. Remembering how in her youth she had played the 
whore in Egypt, she played the whore over and over again.  She was infatu-
ated with their male prostitutes, whose members [genitals, NIV] were like

those of donkeys and whose seed [emission, NIV] came in floods like that of 
stallions (Ezek. 23:17-20, REB).

   The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of 
earth, purified seven times (Ps. 21:6).

   Every word of God is pure (Prov. 30:5).

   How sweet are thy words unto my taste!  
Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth (Ps. 119:103)

   Righteous are you, O LORD, and upright are your judgments....  Your 
word is very pure (Ps. 119:137,140).

   The LORD is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples....  He 
is Holy....  Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool--He is 
holy....  Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the 
LORD our God is holy (Ps. 99:3,5,9).

   The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works (Ps. 
145:17).
