Fun Times Travel

This company is scamming people out of thousands of dollars. It is a very well thought out deception. First you attend a vacation timeshare presentation hosted by SOUTHWEST VACATIONS where two free plane vouchers are offered. The word free plane TICKETS are implied and you assume that that is what is meant. The invitation reads two free plane vouchers, but in the presentation it is verbally stated as free plane TICKETS. Plus three days, two nights hotel for two at numerous vacation spots. Again, you assume three day/two night is free. The speaker also verbally states ‘free plane TICKERS’ and ‘FREE hotel’ in the seminar. They hand out colored papers to take notes on and then walks quickly picking them up at the end as if they are cleaning up (removing all evidence of what is said). | SOUTHWEST VACATIONS: At the end of the presentation by SOUTHWEST VACATIONS you are offered a & 036;8500 vacation timeshare program. After you decline they hand out packages for what you assume are your free plane tickets. THE VOUCHERS ARE THE REAL GOAL OF THE SEMINAR!! We are told that the company does not cover taxes and handling on the FREE tickets. Sounds legit, right? So I sent in the & 036;128 to cover the taxes and handling. | TRAVEL CLUB: That is where the TRAVEL CLUB takes over. I received many emails asking for my cruise itinerary and wrong information that does not pertain to my email requests. All of my sent emails indicate that they are for my FREE PLANE TICKETS. Many months pass with this game before I am contacted by FUN TIME to complete my booking. | FUN TIME: I received an email from FUN TIME asking for a handing fee of & 036;25 per person for booking. I overnight my check (yes, I was that stupid) and flight plans with all names included. They finally got back to me after a week (past the time to book the flight) to ask for my passport information and social security numbers. I don’t give it. I realized that I had been scammed at this point!! I am then emailed indicating that yet another company would be contacting me to finalize my booking. I continue to just to find out more about this scam. THEY NEVER ASK FOR EVERYTHING IN ONE EMAIL. They are hoping that you will not notice how you’ve been shuffled around. | VACATION RESERVATION CENTER: This is the next company that you are passed onto for other price. He has several mailing centers to receive the checks. One is at a UPS store at 23219 Stringtown Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871. There are other addresses that places the company in Philadelphia or Folsom. The travel plans that they quote are the same price that I could have booked myself over the internet. I believe the lead of the reservation center is the head of the scam. He is standing in the front of the photo on their website. | Other scam websites give the name of a travel company in Philadelphia, PA and CA. The guy standing in the front looks similar to one of the guys that logged onto yelps ‘Google it’ Fun Time travel scam to mock a couple several posters. I checked out his yelps and ONLY notice food yelps. So what was he doing on this site?? Funny that he also lives in a town next to scam headquarters.
