Sewer was backing up, called Gillece based on the $99 special… The only good thing was that they didn”t charge us for their bogus advice. They ran a camera into the drain and claimed root damage was the problem and quoted us $8, 800 flat fee to repair… and refused to even snake the drain “company policy”, meaning they could fix it for $99 or try to hose you for $8800, they chose the latter… At that point we panicked then remembered we have the “Dominion Sewer Line Repair Program” and called them. Their contractor came out, snaked the drain, so no roots at all and it was a $0 as it was covered under that program. LESSON: Gillece Plumbing and Heating are scam artists that prey on your immediate need for help…and they live by the words of Rahm Emmanuel, Let no crisis go to waste…

We thought we had a ‘fixable’ issue with our 2 year old furnace. Turns out we were dead wrong. After two attempts and a lot of ‘B.S.’ technical jargon (resulting in a $139.95 ‘service’ fee & including a water heater service we never even requested)…turned out they still could not identify exactly the solution to the problem. Incidentally, I did present their own company coupon for $30 off ‘ANY SERVICE’–which was promptly denied, because that only included services on major installations like ‘pumps’ (example they gave me, not one I made up). Approx. 3 hours after they left, my furnace began leaking water from the back–dripping at a rate of 3-4 drops a second–all over the basement floor. When we called, their primary focus was the service fee call for them to come out again, $95–which would only be waived if it could be determined that the malfunction was something they did. After much calling back and forth, they declined to come out, informing me that such leakage was ‘normal’ after such a service. I would have to wait over night and call them again in the morning to report if there was no change. Thankfully, I have no carpeting or flooring around the unit–if this leakage was so ‘normal’ why did they not explain that to me before they left?? One totally ‘unhappy’ customer. Do not ever use them for your boiler/furnace problems, unless you like being given the run-around & being ripped-offed.

Today I turned on my air conditioner in 95 degree heat to find out that it was not working. I checked again to make shure it was on cool then checked my breaker box. Both were where they should be and still no cool air. My son recommended that I call the birdy people (he’s 3) so I called gillece!. When talking to the gentleman on the phone he seemed very polite and helpful stating he would send someone out between 1-3.. By 3:30 my husband was home from work and still no technician?. So I proceeded to call them n theguy on the phone said they were busy and would be out shortly:. It is now 8:15 pm and still no one has shown up, not even a call saying they were not coming”. I just called another local company and they are on their way.. After reading the other comments from customers of gellice’s im extremely glad they never showed up;. This company needs to be shut down and never allowed to opperate a buissness again.

The plumber from Gillece charged me $18, 000.00 – 4 times the going rateaccording to 4 different plumbers I asked after the fact. Replacing a basement sewer line should be under $5, 000 and they did not even replace the whole line–when they realized my credit would not allow for the full $24, 000.00 they wanted they came up with a plan to do only half the work.
