As a licensed Infant and Child Psychologist, I provide consultation and psychotherapy to families with children from pregnancy through age 10. Some families seek me out for reflective consultation, to fully embrace the opportunities for growth that are possible during that special stage of family life while children are young. Others turn to me as a developmental guide, to help them navigate challenges and transitions that seem to be affecting their children’s development and well-being. Others work with me to address clinical issues, after social-emotional and behavioral patterns have become relatively set and diagnostic criteria are met. With an emphasis on early childhood, my approach is strengths-based, relationship-oriented, and individualized to both the developmental capacities of each child and the values and culture of each family. I integrate insights from relevant theories and research, evidence-based practice, and direct experience with a diversity of families.Through my community-based work, I also have gained a deep respect for the importance of neighborhood and place, the limits of professional expertise, and the wisdom of each person’s lived experience. Families who would like to explore the possibility of working with me are welcome to call or email.
