Carl Rogers once said, “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset, I watch in awe as it unfolds.” As a therapist, I choose to live by this philosophy & apply it to each and every client I work with. Therapy isn’t always easy, but sometimes we can’t heal alone. I don’t have expectations for clients, just encouragement! I utilize animal-assisted therapy for a majority of sessions & bring my therapy dog (in training) to provide a sense of safety & comfort. I consider myself to be creative, empathetic, and outgoing and believe that I can be a positive vessel to help guide others to overcome their trauma or difficulties.
