We were invited to their presentation last fall. We did not plan on purchasing into the travel program as we had been burned on 3 timeshares in the past by the same experience that we experienced with their company. Their salesman, James, said that their company was not like the timeshares and if we had questions or problems that their customer service would take care of us. We fell for the bait, and now we know that James lied to us along with the other gentleman that was showing the group on the overhead projector how much we could save on a cruise. We felt that we were high pressured into buying right then, the same way the timeshares do. If I had been able to do some research, I’m sure that I would have thought twice about purchasing. | Needless to say, when I booked our cruise to Amsterdam for May, we did not get the reward credits that was shown to us on the presentation on a cruise of his choosing. We were told that we could get enough credits to pay for the second person. This is not happening at all. We were told by their customer service representative that we would get a senior and military discount which by the way, we did not get. Also, I was quoted & 036;2766.98 by Bonite when I called to see what the cost would be. When I discussed it with my husband and we agreed to go with their company, Bonite wasn’t available, so I talked to another representative. She took my & 036;900 deposit over the phone. I called back to get a copy of the invoice which I received it, it was incorrect. It says the cost is & 036;3266.38 instead of the & 036;2766.98 that Bonite quoted, nor does it reflect the & 036;298 rebate. | I went to Royal Caribbean’s website to see what their price is and it was & 036;2942.38. That is a difference of only & 036;175.40. Even comparing the suites, staterooms, etc, there is not much difference in the price. | I was also told that the Customer Service phone line would be answered within 30 seconds, which I have waited longer and have left messages and the messages are never returned. I also called James the salesman that sold to us numerous times. I left a message to have the salesman call me and James returned the call. I told him we did not get what he sold us and he chewed me out that he was on his day off spending time with his new grand baby and he didn’t have time to talk about it, yet he called me. He said he would call me back on Monday, which he never did. Needless to say, I was in Las Vegas when he called me that day and was upset with the way he talked to me. So that ruined my day also. He called back twice, said he would have customer service call me (which they never did) and he has not returned my calls since, nor did I get an answer as to why it was not what we purchased. | I felt that I had no choice in getting an answer, so I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Since their company did not respond to them, I wrote to Ms Deborah Brown, the company’s President in February. As of date, she has not responded to my letter. I then wrote a letter to Ms Gladys Cruz and she has not responded either. It’s too bad that people do not do what they promise or take their job seriously. | I feel that we were lied to, misled, and again taken by a salesman that only wanted a sale. We are not saving what we were promised. It seems that in order to get the good savings we would have had to get the owners suite at & 036;12,000 to save about & 036;1500. That is not what was told to us. Also, that is more than 4 times what we are paying for our trip. I have a lot of time and frustration involved with this issue. We are out & 036;7995 by buying into their program. Please, please, do not fall for this scam.
