Anderson Nissan Service Department inept and attempting extreme overpricing Asheville North Carolina!!. A 2004 Altima developed what seemed to be major problems related to the engine. To the point that the check engine light came on and the car would no longer move. Car was taken to Anderson Nissan where they did ‘diagnostics’ and determined that a $7000 engine replacement was necessary. The car was taken to a reputable independent auto service who did diagnostics. They determined that the car needed two coils replaced and it had a slight oil leak. All repairs were $325. Not only did the service department at Anderson Nissan not know what they were talking about, they seem to have an attitude of not caring about getting repair business on an older car. It was very difficult to talk to someone and then we were moved around from person to person. This was not the first negative experience with Anderson Nissan. Last year an alternator replacement was quoted at one price. Then after the work was done the price was actually much higher. Beware the service department of Anderson Nissan.
