My approach to therapy focuses on your goals and preferences while maintaining an approach that has been clinically proven to bring about change. I have received training in both long-term and short-term treatment options in order to best meet the needs of my clients. For instance, some clients prefer interpersonal, insight-oriented treatment while others may tend towards a cognitive and behavioral treatment. I work in a collaborative manner in order to assess what option would best achieve your goals.I have experience working with a variety of mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc), relational/marital conflict, self-esteem issues, and spiritual concerns. I also have specialized training in psychological assessment as a tool to aid in treatment.Research shows that the relationship between client and therapist is crucial in treatment success. Therefore, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to feel heard and understood. Although therapy can be difficult work, I aim to walk along side you to provide the hope and support needed during your journey.
