Auto Tech, Tropicana Mikes Master Mechanics Inacurate diagnostics. Cover-up of incomplete proceedures. Las Vegas, Nevada!!. Hello to all Las Vegans and visitors. I am a person who is well aware of the workings of Auto Tech, and Mikes Master Mechanics. This is yet another auto repair corporation owned/operated by an investor, and not an auto service professional. the owner/CEO is Mike Murphy. Mike Murphy’s general manager is a man called Dave Ford. Dave Ford is an auto service professional, but he is the most rude/condescending customer service representative I have ever witnessed. I have been embarrassed for Dave Ford many times. Now that you’ve been introduced to the owner/operation staff of Auto Tech, and Mike’s Master Mechanics, here’s the dirt. Auto Tech claims to employ only the best Mechanics. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Their Mechanics are run-of-the-mill, just like any others in that league. That league being underpaid/under skilled. I have been witness to gross misdiagnosis that has been passed directly to their customer’s wallets. Auto Tech also does not (EVER) concede to their mistakes. Instead Auto Tech covers them up, and charges their customers for the solutions. A couple gross cases-in-point are Lori’s (I forget her last name) Firebird, who’s cracked Radiator (a $450.00 job) turned into a Cylinder Head job that cost Lori $2500.00. One cover-up of the other forced Lori to pay for both jobs, for a total of $2950.00. There is also the 2004 Chrysler, Sebring of Sam (last name also forgotten) who misinstalled his own Thermostat. He was charged a total of $1800.00 for his Cylinder Head job. All that was necessary was 1.9 hours of labor, and a $5.00 Thermostat Gasket. Auto Tech routinely treats it’s customers this way. The aforementioned are only two of many customers treated this way. One is a woman, and the other lives in Tennessee.
