carhistory.us.org advertised $1.00, charged $1.00 plus $18.95/monthly United States Internet!!. The company advertises that it supplies a complete VIN report for Free. Then they charge $1.00 processing fee which you have to give your credit card for in order to review the “FREE” report. In addition they charge $18.95 monthly reoccuring charge for 12 months that is only disclosed in the fine print – not on their website advertising material. I consider this very deceptive. Also, I got nothing on my report. The car could be clean but I am suspect of the report because they couldn’t even supply me with owner information and county tax information (which I can get for free through the county).
