Recently made a reservation through Car Trawler. As soon as I completed the reservation I realized I input the wrong date and immediately (within minutes) called to change the reservation. Unfortunately, there were no reservation when I actually needed the car (same day); neverthless, Car Trawler charged me U.S. $55 because the cancellation was less than 48 hours from the time of the original reservation. How absurd! I would never do business again with a company that treated it’s customers this way.

Ref IT962688240 Fox Transfers When I completed the details I was asked for pick up time which I put as our flight time (as was the information required when picked up from the airport to the hotel. I stated in the ‘comments that this was the flight time as the transfer company always calculates the pick up time as I have no way of knowing traffic etc. Having not had any confirmation I rang the evening before the pick up was due only to be told that our pick up was the flight time. Having spoken to 2 people I was informed that the time could not be altered and I and my 3 fellow passengers were left stranded in Lake Garda, and they refused to refund my money. Had it not been for the very helpful hotel we may well of missed our flight and I am now 160 euros out of pocket. In twenty years of booking transfers I have always had to give the flight time and the company calculates the journey time. If this was different then why did nobody read my comment and question it. What is the point of a comments field if no one reads it. I feel that I should be entitled to at least a refund!! D Curtis

Travel Date: Aug 28 Canceled Rental: July 31 (well within limits) I still haven’t received a refund 2 months later. First I was told 10 days. I submitted a request at the 10 day mark. Then I was told 37 hours. At the 37 hour mark, I was told my refund would be processed within 10 days. At that 10 day mark, I was sent an email asking for my bank account routing number and account so they could refund me. This is shady. If I reserved a car with a credit card, the refund should be processed on said credit card. I explained that I don’t want to give them my banking information. They told me to speak to my bank as that’s the only option. I provided the banking info as requested and got a reply that I didn’t include the IBAN. US Banks don’t have IBANs. This company is the worst! They are causing so much grief over a simple refund for a car that was never used. I’ve asked them to use the CC on file. They said they can’t. I’ve asked them to send me a check, use PayPal, anything. I get nowhere. They keep closing my case and reopening it with every reply. What kind of people am I dealing with?! Steer clear.

To whom it may concern, I booked a car transfert from Bcn to my hotel on Friday, February 10th. The shuttle’s driver never showed up, I stood up at the airport for two hours, called the nimber provided with my voucher and no one would answer. What a disrespectful behavior!! I sent an email to complain and to ask for a refund. So far, i have received no reply!! I try to cancel another booking on the portal. Obviously it’s impossible. To me, it’s clearly a fraud !!!

Yesterday morning I made a car rental reservation through CarTrawler. 12 hours later I went to go pick up the car and Dollar Car rental refused to rent me the car claiming my son made the reservations not me. I had added my son as a driver so I thought. Both my son and I pulled out or drivers license, and credit cards but because my son was 21 and only had a debt card they refused to rent the car to me even though I had already paid for prepaid for the rental with my credit card to CarTrawler. We called Cartrawler and let them know there was obviously a misunderstanding and I not my son made the reservation and asked if they could fix it so we could rent the car we paid for. Cartrawler refused to help claiming I did not give them a 24 hour notice and it was not their problem. I asked Dollar Car rental what could I do and they said just cancel the reservation and make a new one. All that needed to be done was change one word on the contact and cartrawler refused to do anything to help and have now stolen my money. I asked to speak with a manager and they said one would call me and I have not heard anything and can no longer get a hold of anyone at Cartrawler. I have never heard of any business that could care less of a product or service they sold you and not refund your money when they do not give you what you paid for. I am 100% sure now this company has no business integrity. That would not correct a name on my contract, would do absolutely nothing to help me get what I paid them for, then stole my money and refused to communicate with me. How any business could do something like this and still exist just blows my mind. All I asked Cartrawler to do was change a first name on my contract which wasn”t even 14 hrs old yet and they refused to help me and claimed I didn”t give them a 24 hour notice. Dollar Car rental would not rent me the car and Cartrawler took my money. This is the most upfront honest information I can provide and no one will help me.

We booked a car at Ryanair website together with insurance. Avis Serbia in Nis Airport was a provider (Booking Reference Number: RS918988640, Confirmation no. 12554172IT1) When we arrived at Avis desk, they asked if I want to add an insurance and I said that I already purchased insurance with Ryanair so I don’t want any other insurance. Milena Tasic was working that day. When we returned the car they charged us 250euro more for Kasco insurance that I didn’t take but for some reason, it was in the contract. At the Avis desk, they said that for sure Milena explained you everything including that Ryanair insurance is not valid. Milena didn’t explain anything and she just inserted Kasco insurance without our approval. I am asking you to check Avis Serbia as your provider. It is completely illegal to insert into the contract when I explicitly refused it. It is not the first time Avis Serbia is doing this. Worst company ever!!! They cheated us for 60 euros! We have received 3/4 parts of full tank. When we discovered it, we spoke to an employee who has confirmed and signed this on delivery papers. Therefore, we have returned 3/4 of full tank. Nevertheless, they have charched us for 50 euros penalty fee and 1/4 fuel. The worst thing was that they would not accept delivery papers as proof their employees signed. Their response took a very long time. They were unprofessional. They were out just after cheating customers. Stay away from this company!

This service is a scam and I will report the conduct of this organisation to the authorities. I was allowed to acquire a hire car without a credit card even though I booked with a debit card. The time of this booking was less than 24 hours before my flight lands in Denmark, to which I would then pick up the car. I have now been told I am unable to collect my vehicle due to the company policy, however why was I allowed to book the car in the first place without a credit card? Further more, the cancellation policy is before 24 hours, however what if you book the car within 24 hours? this is unacceptable and there needs to be a separate policy to enable the driver to receive a refund.
