Champion Motor Sports Deceptive, Lies Crestwood Illinois!!. I live in Northern Michigan.I found this dealership online while looking for a 76 Cadillac Eldorado convertible for my son which was to be a present from his late grandmother.I found a gorgeous white car and emailed the salesman, Joe Bautista, to see if it was still available. It was and communication began between us via phone, texts and emails.Mr. Bautista informed me on several occasions that ” everything listed in the advertisement was true and the car was in Excellent condition and has been checked several times by their Service Department.”I wanted to make sure that the AC in fact, did work so Mr. Bautista had it checked out and informed me that it actually did Not work but just needed a compressor.Ok, I can deal with that..I was emailed 216 pics of the car showcasing Every inch of the car, but looking back at the pics, I found how they did A lot of creative picture taking in order to draw my attention away from what all was wrong with the car..After wiring a total of $12.000 over several weeks, my son and I made the 7 hour drive to pick it up.Of course my son was so excited as was I because , Hey, I was ensured the car was working perfectly .We saw the beautiful car , met with Mr. Bautista and began checking the car out. While looking under the hood, and in the presence of my son, this salesman, Again, told me the car was ” Inspected and worked perfectly..”Everything worked…UNTIL we got on the highway and I tried the Cruise Control..Well, no matter what I tried, it didnt work along with the following that all happened when we were checking it out at the hotel..Cruise , Wiper fluid, 2 rear windows followed by the passenger front window moments later and the lock wouldnt go down on the passenger side door..I was livid to say the least..We headed back to Michigan the next day when , in the middle of Nowhere on I43, the car over heated and just DIED ..I had the car towed to Chrysler World in Abrams,Wis for repair.Total came to $551!The radiator had 2 cracks in it that had been there for awhile but were not seen.We got home and to itemize EVERYTHING that was wrong..1..NO cable was even present for the cruise control and what part was there, was tucked behind some electrical equipment.2..Master Electrical control for the windows is fried.3.. Rear tire had 6 in cut on the inside that was not visible4..The top came down, then when it went back up, suddenly there was a 7 inch tear that encases the tension cable on the drivers side that had been cleverly hidden, the cable is now exposed. Top has to be replaced ….$850..5.. The reason the wiper fluid did not squirt, Well, the WHOLE system that would be found under the wiper blades that would encase the spritzers, was GONE…Looking back at the 216 pics, I see now that ALL close ups were of the top DOWN and any pics of it up, were from a distance..Pics of the tires showed how wonderful the front were and no close ups of the rear even though the slash was not visible..Mr. Bautista Admitted that the car had NOT been inspected and that they took ALL those pics to take away from the problems..He said that as a ” Gesture of good will, they would reimburse me only half of the towing and radiator cost..”Still waiting on the check..I have repeatedly tried to connect with Mr. Bautista about the above issues with NO response…I told them that I feel I should be reimbursed for all the problems even tho there was a piece of paper that said the car might not been inspected ESPECIALLY because I had PROOF of being told it HAD BEEN inspected .I now have mentioned that I will pursue this in small claims court, the only response now is “Ok”/So, they made their sale of a potentially DANGEROUS car meaning the tire that couldve blown out , God forbid, while my son was driving it, so, I can now be ignored and the next sucker brought in.As of this writing, they have NOT responded to my requests to try to make this right.I cant believe how Mr.Bautista Admitted this is some of the reasons that give Used car salesmen a bad name..This place is Dishonest…they have no “Mechanics” that check their cars out.So, what was supposed to have been one of the Best experiences of my son’s life has turned out to be anything but.Ill keep this updated , hopefully Ill be paid back, but who knows..
