Using a client-centered approach in therapy, I help clients develop an understanding of their life circumstances through their own unique and personal context. I work with patients to increase awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns to create room to choose how to respond to life situations versus responding automatically. This can be empowering as it allows them to create change rather than waiting on other people or situations to change. With this focus on self-awareness and the acquisition of coping skills, I work with patients on navigating concerns with the goal of obtaining a happier and healthier life.I work with patients in individual, couple, family, and group settings. I have specialized training in working with trauma survivors and the wide array of concerns associated with trauma survival, including substance abuse, disordered eating, low self-esteem, dissociation, impulsivity, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties.I am dedicated to creating a non-judgmental and empathic therapeutic environment to foster self-compassion and change. I work at a group private practice where we offer programs and options suitable for individuals of all needs. Services include: psychological evaluations, outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
