On Saturday October 28 2017 I contacted a gentleman named Clay Bennet at the above referenced number. He was offering two dogs for sale. A 7 month old male English Lab and a 9 month old American female. Both were priced at $200.00. His ad indicated work demands were placing him in a position to have to sell the pets. I texted him indicating an interest in the male. He responded claiming the dog was already sold and gone. On Monday October 30 2017 Mr Bennett called me claiming his wife told him I could have the dog. I was a bit perplexed considering I was told the dog was gone. Nontheless I fidnt ask any questions and agreed to purchase the dog and pick him up Thursday November 2 2017. I confirmed this again on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday evening I received a text from a woman indicating she was mr. Bennett’s wife. She indicated for financial reasons they decided to keep the Labrador and breed him to their nine month old female when she goes in heat. This was obviously an enormous inconvenience for me. I had already declined to purchase another dog that I had displayed interest in over the weekend. Assuming that I was acquiring a new family member this week. I had purchased a variety of items for this pet including or crate, various toys, Etc. Mr. It was incredibly uncooperative and very evasive when dealing with me. He made false clients and placed an ad to sell a pet he failed to fulfill. Subsequent online research leads me to believe this is not the first time he has conducted business in this manner.
