I developed a leak in the transmission of my 2004 BMW 325. The transmission was not slipping at all and the vehicle ran fine except for the transmission oil leak. | I called D&K and told them about the issue; they said they worked on BMWs and did transmission repair. I had my vehicle towed there and “Angel” said they charge $95.00 for a “diagnostics.” | D&K called me back and said they wanted to take the transmission out and replace it; $5300.00 for a new transmission, $3100.00 for a used/ rebuilt one. I asked them if they had run a diagnostics on the transmission, they said “No, we don’t work on transmissions.” They just told me that the transmission leaked at the front. This told me that it was only a possible seal problem. | It appeared to me that they did nothing. I already knew the transmission leaked and I could have guessed that I could just replace the transmission without taking it to D&K. They led me to believe that they were a transmission shop and could analyze the transmission and replace a seal, which what it what was really wrong with the transmission where there was no slippage. They did no “diagnostics.” They lied. | I told “Angel” that I would not pay the $95.00 because they did no “diagnostics.” There paper work did not provide any report. “Angel” refused to give me the keys to my vehicle. He was rude and confrontational; totally unprofessional. I had to call the police out there to their shop. | Buyer beware. These guys are the classic bait & switch scam. They will tell you that they do transmission repair, have you get your car to their shop, and try to sell you something for more repair than your car actually may need. A rip off scheme. | I would not recommend them at all. I am reporting them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
