Hello! The first step in the therapeutic process is to make the first point of contact and you have now taken that step. I am a client-friendly psychologist that focuses on the client’s strengths, the therapeutic relationship with the client and the client’s family in order to address the needs of the client within a multi-systemic approach. My clinical interests include children and trauma (resulting from divorce, abuse, neglect, and community violence), attachment disorders, relationship issues, emotion regulation, self-esteem and substance abuse. I utilize both interpersonal and systems approaches to treatment of disorders.I earned masters degrees in community mental health and school psychology and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida (APA accredited). I completed my pre-doctoral internship with Children’s Institute, Inc. (APA accredited) and my post-doctoral residency with Palm Beach Behavioral Health & Wellness. As a school psychologist in the public school system for 10+ years, I worked with children and adolescents who have emotional and behavioral difficulties. As a mother of two children, I understand the demands of parenting and place the client’s family as a priority in the client’s treatment.
