I called East Beltline Towing located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and asked them to tow my vehicle to the dealership for service. After they towed it to the dealership, I left and went home. A few hours later, I received a phone call from the Grand Rapids Police saying that the tow truck driver had called them and told them that he believed that there were drugs in my car. | The police impounded my car and searched it. They found no drugs. Then I had to pay $180 to get my car out of their impound lot. All I asked East Beltline Towing to do was to tow my car and they ended up getting it impounded – for absolutely no reason. | Their job is to transport a vehicle from point A to point B; not to play detective and get peoples’ cars impounded. The only reason I can think of for them doing this is to make more money by towing my car to the police station in addition to the $80 I paid them to tow it to the dealership. Beware of East Beltline Towing.
