I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and families. My easy-going, genuine style helps create a safe environment to explore therapeutic issues. I utilize evidenced based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, in addition to non-directive play therapy and psychodynamic/family approaches. I enjoy being creative in therapy, and I often incorporates art and games into the therapeutic process. I believe that it is important to focus on strengths, to develop healthy coping skills and to incorporate a solid support system in order to help my client’s achieve their optimal emotional and physical well-being.I also provide psychological assessment services for children and adolescents. Specifically, I perform comprehensive learning disability evaluations and evaluations for placement into academically gifted programs.
