My intention in therapy is to provide you a safe space where you may gain insight and face challenges with greater ease and confidence. I help individuals who wish to move through shame, grief/loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or trauma. I see the therapeutic relationship as an active process where change can occur. Through this process, I have watched others become more self aware, identify unhelpful patterns, and disconnect from troublesome behaviors. I offer you a chance to practice the change you seek in a safe supported space. My approach is eclectic utilizing mindfulness based technique, psychodynamic theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also draw from my experience in martial arts, a practice focused in unity and harmony to deal with conflict. Integrating my practice of martial arts and study of somatic therapies allows me to provide a more holistic approach to healing. I understand finding a counselor that you feel comfortable with is important for building trust and connection. I provide an open perspective, compassionate listening and guidance. I hope for you to gain deeper understanding of yourself and make changes to improve your daily life.
