Regarding website builder and customer service to make this very brief my company has been in business with Go Daddy for over five years I called one date update my payment information and the representative made a mistake and put a wrong digit of my card into my account. I proceeded to leave the country for three months only to come back and find out that my website that I had worked on for five years and spent over $3000 in web developer fees to build to get to the first page of Google is now deleted. They realize the error that they made and compensated me for one year of website builder which is about $200 nowhere near what I spent. I was then very frustrated finding out that now all of my Google ratings and placement we”re gone I called back in and demanded another year and they refuse to do that. Then my website failed to be published from one of their web developers for over four months or four months of the free year I had gotten was gone. I called back and finally after third time was able to get it resolved and simply asked for a nine dollar credit to renew my domain for free and spoke with a supervisor who is very very rude and abrupt to me and just told me to stop talking don”t talk to me like that etc. I am so very frustrated I am filing a complaint with the attorney General, Better Business Bureau. I have left reviews on yelp Facebook and every social media site possible I will not rest until I am compensated for this I am a very unhappy customer

Recently, my website was removed from the web community after and issue with the domain name occurred. Godaddy, the custodian, was notified of the issue, as well as; the fact that the this name was trademarked and used as part of my doing business as. The president of the company was notified and advised me of the fact that my domain name would be auctioned regardless and to purchase a $30 domain name back order, as well as, submit documents to their legal department to demonstrate ownership – which I did. It was explained to me that with the back order, I would have the ability to counter bid any offers on my domain name and subsequently procure my domain name. The domain name was sold via auction without notification and opportunity to counter the bid. Further two-days before the purchase, godaddy advised me that the domain name was mine and would be in my custodianship within 30-50 days. I maintain through this complaint the following: godaddy.com sold a encumbered product knowingly and with blatant disregard of legal protection; godaddy.com sold a service that did not perform as promised; godaddy.com has caused my philanthropic entity irreparable harm due to its predatory business practices. Godaddy.com single handily wiped out a web community that took 3-years to grow.

Tonight I signed into Go-daddy after receiving an email advertising their .INFO domain names for $.99. for 1 year. I found my name was available and selected a one year subscription. Once that was done I was offered the same name in: .MOBI, .TV, .NET, at pricing from $9.99 and up. I passed on that offer and selected CONTINUE to proceed to check-out at which time another offer popped up on the screen with the .COM and .NET versions of the domain name I was about to purchase. This time they were offered at $9.99 for one year with a 30% discount making the pair $14.00 FOR 1 year. I decided to purchase the additional versions, as well as another .INFO name. The above scenario was repeated only this time the .COM was unavailable and I was offered the .NET and .ORG versions of the new name. However, when I actually tried to check out, 2 of the names offered and accepted had disappeared from my cart and replaced by only one of the offered names. However, this time the price was more than 5 TIMES THE AMOUNT I had been offered. I was disappointed but not surprised. This was not the first time. But this time I was better prepared and was actually printing every screen as it appeared. Thus I was able to confirm what I had previously suspected: Go-daddy, for FOR ALL ITS purported HIGH MINDEDNESS IS ACTUALLY STEALING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY FROM FROM ITS CUSTOMERS. The pattern seems to be: You, the CUSTOMER CONCEIVE A “BRAND NAME” FOR your BUSINESS AND CONTACTS the COMPANY TO LEGITIMATELY REGISTER your NEW “COMPANY BRAND.” Go-daddy pretends to register the name for the advertised price but instead you are ripped-off because a derivation of the name is inflated and another version is stolen, completely. You are ripped-off on the lower value version of the name, such as .ORG, OR .NET, ETC., because you cost is higher than what was advertised and what was offered while shopping with in their website during which Go-daddy pilfers the valuable .COM or other version. I have to believe this is the case because the name simply disappeared from my order and could not be retrieved by the salesman when I called the company. The salesman who said he would recreate the transaction in order to resolve the discrepancy. However, he either could or would not. Go-Daddy”s sales practices are a TRUE RIPOFF, RIPOFF. RIPOFF!

The Company debited by account of $87.92 on my debit card, after i have given them noticed of cancellation of their services. My payment to them for the passed 2 years was still valid till 07/06/2018 I can not see any reason why they should billed me knowing that i have discontinue their services for a website domain that has not been working and of which i personally asked them that every products to be cancelled. I called the organisation on the 20/03/2018 and have asked that all products be cancelled and the website be deleted and all products have been duly cancelled except the domain name and protection registration because it was not due until the 7/6/2018 but they went ahead of time and billed me, i consider this as cheating and dubious. For that i am asking you to help intervene and get them refund me as quickly as possible.

Watch out if you do business with one of the biggest domain name scammers on the planet – Godaddy.com. If you choose to do business with these charlatans watch out for the AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. Unless you turn this function off, you will be billed without your knowledge. This happen to me and I am currently asking my credit card company to get involved to reverse the charge. Calling customer service was NO HELP. Very rude and uncaring. Now we understand how they can afford 4 Million Super Bowl commercials. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Run away from Godaddy!! After choosing Office 365 to have my website and email boxers, I cancelled the services (site and email) I had with Godaddy and, by coincdence, my problems begun. It is clear for me now that Godaddy main objective is get money from customers by all the possible ways. I had also bought 5 domains and all with expire dates of end 2014 and one till 2015! Now they say I “deleted” the domains and they got expired! After several support tickets exchanges they insist that I most recover the Domain I wanted more (with expire dates in 9/14), and pay 80 $ for that. One of us (me or Godaddy) is stupid! I would be stupid if I wanted to delete registered domains I paid in advance and not expired or Godaddy is stupid to think their customers want to drop money away. Godaddy site allows, without an alert giving the criticality of the action, to delete already paid registered domains … and after they ask money for recover. This is stupid and non ethical! I am a 61 years old economist and former CIO at important companies where Customer Relationship Management (CRM) was priority number one. An acronym that Godaddy does not know!

The Webhosting Package Upgrade to the premium one was worst experience. First, Godaddy guys does not even care to say that this upgrade would change your IP address and will may affect your email, websites which are not hosted on Godaddy plus Sub-domains. Secondly, they send an email saying migration has started but with out any date or time of migration complete! It is us who have to call and ask Godaddy support, ” when is this going to finish? when are we supposed to change IP?” Plus, they don’t care to mention that you will have to change IP address for all sub-domains on hosting panel?? (which supposed to updated automatically, ideally !!) Third, There is no email stating that the migration has been complete please change your IP addresses. They don’t even care that your websites work or no. We faced this issue and our 10-15 client websites were down. few are still down. For subdomains, we had to do change manually IP addresses for all the sub-domains that we own, and this come across when we saw that one of the sub-domain site is down. We were in under the impression that these sites will be automatically upgraded based on Godaddy’s migration email!! Godaddy support is worst and hilarious. It sucks!

We cancelled our domaine and they still took money off our credit card a couple of years AFTER cancellation! we contacted them. They apologized and “sent a refund” we got a receipt for refund number, Never got the refund. Called them again, they said call your bank. Bank says there is NO refund. Call Godaddy again, they give me a run around!!! They won’t actually give us the money back they literally STOLE from our account! So what does a confirmation of refund number help?? ZERO. How many times have they done this? Hoping people won’t check their visa statements years after they’re done dealing with a company? This is outright theft. Then the so-called support (see photo) says he has “checked the back end”??? and tells me to call someone else, who we’ve ALREADY called! The credit card has been cancelled so they can’t do it to us again. But on principal…I have the right to get my money returned to me.
