So, yesterday I took my mothers lawn mower to Gray Repair Services 125 Lakeview St Johnson City, TN. Her mower would not run. I advised them to contact me BEFORE they worked on it if the cost would be over $100. They said that was fine. | I got a call today asking if I wanted them to replace the blades on it because they were bent. I said not to. I got a call a few minutes later stating it was fixed and it would be $192. I asked why I wasn’t contacted before they did the work? The owner stated he didn’t have time to call people and give them pricing beforehand…. Not sure why that wasn’t disclosed yesterday…He said he would put everything back and for me to come get my mower. | When I got there I asked to have a receipt for what was wrong with the mower. He said “NO”. I called to police to have it documented what happened in case he tampered with the mower other then what was already wrong with it. Even with the officer there he refused to give me any documentation. He also stated that they can’t give a quote before they do the repair. I asked again why that wasn’t disclosed yesterday? No answer of course expect for me to leave.. Bad business….
