When I signed up the leads were to be a significant amount less that what I have been charged. Of the 19 leads 10 have not been able to be reached from the information that Home Advisor has provided with significant effort on my part. One customer I have called over 10 times. Another lead from Home Advisor the customer actually told Home Advisor not to give her information out to any one else. I called her without knowing this and the lady was not happy with me. Another lead the customer told me he was checking prices on his current contractor to make sure his guy wasnt ripping him off. This last lead the home owner was confused to why I was calling because his lead was generated on Angies List and refused to discuss his project. | I was a customer of Home Advisor in 2011 and left because of the poor quality of the leads. Since then Home Advisor has been calling me on a regular basis for my return. I was assured that their changes have fixed the problems of the past and was told that credits are easily issued through their app. This could not be further from the truth. Home Advisor actually denied a credit for an identical lead at the same exact time for the same exact task. I was also mislead about the lead quality. The current ones in 2018 and 2019 are significantly worse than the leads in 2011. | Of the 19 leads, I have sold one job. The total profit before the cost of the lead was $80. The lead cost was $52.94. Another lead my normal quote for this very small job would be $95. I had to quote a little high because the lead cost was $72.80. I did not close the job because I had to quote too high to recover the cost of this lead. The numbers speak for themselves. This company is no friend to small business.

So when i sign up/tom is the guy they help sign me up/as he was telling me about leads that would be sent to me. he said i would be the only one getting those leads in my area/well come to find out from another worker from home advisor, they send the same leads to me and 4 other pros/which means they charge ma and the other company for the same lead and want me to pay for that lead when another company did the job/so that was not told to me when i first sign up.

The send you fake leads and the number is not good the address reads Will Provide once we talk. We call and the number is disconnect and can’t go to the house because no address. We call Home Advisor and they tell us not there problem and keep billing us month over month and send fake leads. The State AG office will not even go after them. Sad that these fake Business can’t still be in business.

They are charging me fictiscous fees for bogus job leads that amounted to nothing. They were suppose to have credited and or removed fees. But chose not to do so. Now im being threatened with collections and my personal name. I quite my job to do this .this has been very costly to me and family. This is very unfair especially when they reactivated my account which i had closed. They persued me until i paid them there 287.50 fee which was my christmas bonus. I need to stop now im starting to get upset just speaking about this. Sorry

They did not give me a refund for either one. I told them the cost of the leads (which were not high quality ) ,gave me great stress, and loss of peace of mind and it was starting to affect me physically. They said. They refused to give me any refund, when I cancelled on Aug 6 2019. | I felt mislead and was shocked when they told me I must pay for the leads, even if they do not bring me work. The cost of the leads gives me ” great stress”, because I do not a have a high income. I have a low income. They said I still have to pay ,even if I cancel.

Was misled verbally by the salesperson as to what I would be billed for and as to how the referral service actually worked . Home Advisor has been taking money through my credit card acct without any authorization for the transactions . I was told that If I suspended my referrals / Lead info that I would not receive any leads or referrals . they kept coming anyway . | Was also told by the representative that I could only be billed for leads if they were responded to . That also was not the case . They set up leads and appointments for me while my leads were turned off/ suspended and ran up a near $700.00 bill while I was on vacation . I spoke to a rep before I went on vacation and informed him that my leads had been turned off through the website but was still getting them . He was ” taking ccare of it” Flat out bald faced lie ! everyone I spoke to there had a different angle on what was going on. | Never being anything more than cryptic or just plain dishonest and misleading , like if they just lead you to beleive something through their misleading verbage then they aren’t lying . ” Oh no , we’re sure that was part of the initial conversation ” is all they ever say when you tell them that you didn’t sign up for something new or any other problem you might have .” LIes and the lying liars who tell them ” that is the foundation Home advisor seems to be built upon .

Well I’m pissed. I’ve used Home Advisor in the past and have had the consistent experience that they just crap out results that almost never match the project you are using. I’ve never been able to use any of their recommendations, so I’ve gladly stopped using their service. Today I was looking for sprinkler blowouts and clicked on one of my Google results. It happened to be Home Advisor. And they were recommending plumbers. | I instantly hit the back button, after about 4 seconds on their site. I instantly get several emails from them, thanking me for using them in my plumbing search. I unsubscribe AGAIN, hoping it will finally be the end of my contact with this horrible company. INSTANTLY I get an email from ‘homeyou’ saying, “Hi (removed),Thank you for your request for Plumbing Work in (removed). | Our trusted partner HomeAdvisor will match you with top local pros for your project. By using this service, you are bound to HomeAdvisor T&C’s and Privacy Policy.Thank you for using our service, | The homeyou team” | How does unsubscribing from a company give them permission to start harassing you from their “trusted partner” site? Then I start getting phone calls and messages from Home Advisor. I call them back and tell them if they contact me again, I’m going to report them for fraud. I block the number. | Then I start receiving all these calls and emails from local plumbers THAT I DID NOT GIVE PERMISSION TO HAVE MY CONTACT INFORMATION AND NEVER EVEN REQUESTED!!! What on Earth happened to privacy of information and ethical conduct? | Someone please get this company, and all of its subsidiaries, to stop harassing me!

What Home Advisor told me that I did not have to accept their emailed leads and at any rate I would have to click on their emailed lead and then I would be paying for the lead after the client contaced me even if I did not get the job. | I agreed to this, What I was promised and what I got are two different things . They swarmed my email withy what they called “job oppontunities ” that di not have a “yes”or “no” button and in addition were fare away from my agreed twenty miles from my tree bussiness in north haven. | The key point is that they charged me for each of these job opontunities that I never clicked on >they have not responded to my complaints. I did get a new debit card.
