We all desire to be loved and accepted, to feel safe and secure, to achieve our goals and fulfill our purpose, and to like who we see in the mirror. Unfortunately, life has a way of placing obstacles on our path that can potentially impair our ability to function at our greatest level. For some of us, these events are so painful that all hope seems to be lost. In order for healing to begin, we need a safe and supportive environment where our thoughts and feelings are validated, where we are able to process and heal from painful experiences, and where we are able to identify our most important needs and meet them in healthy ways.Using an integrative approach specifically tailored to each client, Dr. Duval works with those suffering with depression, anxiety, trauma, and familial conflict. Issues addressed in therapy include abuse, grief and loss, reproductive trauma, addiction and codependency, poor self-esteem, anger and stress management, relationship issues, and much more. The path to healing may often seem out of reach or impossible to traverse, but help and guidance are available. Hope still remains. In the words of the late Martin Luther King, Jr.: “If you can’t fly, then run; if you can’t run, then walk; if you can’t walk, then crawl; but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”
