I am a Licensed Therapist/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Child Therapist, Teen Counselor, Adult Counselor, Family Counselor, and Marriage & Couple’s Counselor with 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings within the Orlando and Central Florida community. I have extensive experience in chronic mental health problems as well as generalized personal problems affecting one’s social and emotional functioning. My primary goal is to create a caring and collaborative environment for an individual’s counseling experience and to assist clients to achieve personal growth and improvement.I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, a Strength-Based approach, Empowerment, and Client-Centered techniques throughout services. I also use creative methods such as metaphor, healing stories, art, music, and relaxation therapy throughout the therapeutic process. I have advanced training and experience treating a vast array of child and adult issues.My extensive professional experience has included work in residential treatment programs, the Juvenile Justice System, foster care, middle & high schools, community mental health services and private practice. Various positions have included direct therapy, supervisor, and clinical director, as well as being an adjunct professor at UCF School of Social Work.
