Our children and ourselves are facing stressors our parents never even heard of. The negative results of this stress can be anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, behavioral problems, stress that becomes chronic, and even medical issues. As a licensed mental health counselor, a mindfulness practitioner and a mother, I have developed a particular interest in teaching mindfulness skills to children, adolescents and adults (not only parents) to help them better regulate how life’s circumstances impact their mental health. Mindfulness techniques will give individuals methods to protect themselves from these challenges.I believe everyone has the ability to find balance and overall well-being. In sessions, I utilize cognitive behavioral, positive psychology as well as mindfulness based approaches to help people gain self- awareness, become less reactive and form better relationships with themselves and others.Women’s issues including infertility and pregnancy loss are a significant subset of my practice. I trained under the supervision of Ali Domar, an internationally recognized leader in the field of mind body medicine and woman’s health. I have worked with women and couples facing fertility challenges since 2007.
