My approach to the counseling process is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for my clients to discover their innate value, increase their self-awareness, and gain a deeper sense of self. Together, we‚Äôll explore your story and dig in to the messages you‚Äôve received. By reauthoring your story, we will uncover who you are before the world told you who you’re supposed to be. We will build off your strengths to gain a sense of empowerment and self-compassion as you discover your inherent worth. I work from an intuitive place that explores your values, hurts, triumphs, and goals to launch you in the direction of wholeness. I am an EMDR trained therapist and also have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts Therapy, and Play Therapy.I have worked with clients of all ages in outpatient, residential, and school settings and specialize in issues related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, peer/family conflicts, self-harm, and trauma recovery. I offer optional Christian counseling and also utilize the Enneagram in my practice if desired.
