We just bought a house and needed our locks re-keyed. I searched for “Locksmith in Murray” on Google and locksmith-pros was one of the first ones to come up. I called them and they said it would be about $19 per lock however they never gave me an exact price. We set up a time for them to come out when my wife would be home because I was working. I told my wife it would be about $80 because we have two doors with a lock on the doorknob and a dead bolt on each. When they showed up they had my wife sign something and they said it would be $80 each. | My wife, thinking I had agreed signed the paper and they immediately started working on the lock. She called me quickly after to verify if that was correct. I told her it should be about $80 total not per lock plus a $35 service charge. I called the office of the locksmith and got transferred around 4 times. Finally I spoke to a supervisor who said they would call the locksmith. They didn’t tell me they would help they just said they would call the locksmith. Then the locksmith called me and said he could give me 10 percent off. Well 10 percent off of $355 is only $35. | That is still very different from $80. I told the locksmith that is still too much and I was told $19 per lock. He started laughing at me and said no one does locks for that cheap. I told him that was the price they advertise online and the price I was told when I called. He said it was $350 but he could give me 10 percent off. The locks where already done (it took them literally a couple minutes to complete) so he said I had to pay. I got him to drop it down to $250 and I told my wife to pay him and just be done with them.

We had a locksmith service come to our house. The Ad online said it was a $15 call, plus labor. | (locksmith-pros.net/locations/san-jose-ca?gclid=Cj0KEQjwzpfHBRC1iIaL78Ol-eIBEiQAdZPVKq41hTkD_ykHlA4Z7wQ-tKsJRZ66_rS7hLfcWo1isTQaAgRM8P8HAQ) | The locksmith on arrival told us there would be a $189 charge if he had to drill the lock, which HE DID NOT DO. He told us new locks were $65 each, we got two. HE CONTINUED with the installation. | After the installation was complete. HE gave us a total bill for $420!!! With our discussions with him, we were under the impression that the cost was to be $145. | Since he was in our house, we felt threatened and that we had to pay, as he would not leave. As soon as he left, I called the locksmith customer service and they told me since he already left there was nothing we can do. | The way this individual handling forcing us to pay an additional amount it unacceptable. BAIT AND SWITCH AND INTIMIDATION.

We contracted locksmith-pros.net to come and replace our front door lock as it was becoming difficult to get a key into the lock. This lock is in the handle used to open the door. The technician who was dispatched doesn’t work directly for locksmith-pros.net but some local company. He showed up, replaced the doorlock/handle and didn’t bother to ask if we wanted the same style we had or a new one. My wife paid for the service ($400) and noticed after the technician left that he’d installed the wrong type of lock/door handle. | She called to explain that our door handle worked differently, you could open the door with the lock engaged and now we couldn’t. She attempted to get him to understand and as things got heated, he openly yelled at her and explained that since he’s a locksmith, he knows best. She wanted him to come back and fix the issue. She spoke with whomever answers the phone at locksmith-pros.net and was told that it would be the same guy coming back since he’d done the work. She vehemently said no and that someone else needed to come. She asked to speak to his supervisor, but that seemed to go nowhere. Utlimately, the tech calls back sounding sufficiently contrite. He said he’d be by on this past Friday. | He didn’t show up because he forgot. She spoke with him on Friday night and scheduled for tonight (Monday). He still didn’t show up. She’s now called locksmith-pros.net four times, spoken with three people, one of which we were told would be out to fix the problem, but he had no idea he was scheduled. These people are very bad at keeping appiontments, have bad customer service skills and clearly don’t care. | We’re now disputing the charge with the credit card company and still demanding that someone come and fix our problem. A quick Google search shows at least four hits for fraudulent behavior by this company. I regret that we used locksmith-pros.net. I would urge anyone with a lock related issue to not use this company.
