Maintaining an integrative approach, I incorporate cognitive behavioral, prolonged exposure (I am trained in EMDR level 1 and 2) and solution focused therapy modalities in my practice. I tailor the treatment plan to the presenting problem, honoring the personality of my clients and implementing the most effective evidence based protocols to address their needs. I specialize in trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and attachment issues particularly with adoptive families. After completing my undergraduate degree at Genova University Italy, I received my Master in Clinical Social Work at Florida State University. Since my initial approach to the field of mental health, I have always pursued to gain knowledge in what clinical research has demonstrated to be the most effective “evidence based” therapeutic models of practice.Following a highly specialized internship at Bay Pines VA hospital, I dedicated years working with children and adults victims of sexual trauma. I also participated in a nation wide government founded research project lead by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network to develop an evidence based protocol for the treatment of childhood trauma.
