Marissa Kushner, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist who provides individual therapy, behavioral parent training, and comprehensive psychological assessments. Dr. Kushner has expertise in the application of cognitive-behavioral and behavioral approaches to address anxiety, ADHD, disruptive behavior problems, mood disorders and interpersonal difficulties. Specializing in Pediatric Psychology, Dr. Kushner has provided evaluations and psychotherapy to diverse populations, including children and adolescents coping with obesity, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and feeding difficulties. Dr. Kushner offers comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults suspected of having a learning disability, executive functioning difficulties, or autism spectrum disorder.Dr. Kushner received her Bachelor’s from Emory University and her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed externships/internship at the Children’s National Medical Center and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. She completed her residency at Georgetown Psychology Associates (Maryland).Dr. Kushner integrates principles from evidence-based practices to best support the needs of each client.
