Oftentimes, those who seek counseling and therapy are regular people, struggling with various issues. These issues may stem from childhood trauma, past hurt, and unresolved issues. As a result, the individual may have developed a maladaptive way of coping with the issue/problem. The goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment that will foster healing, growth, and change. As a Registered Mental Health Counselor, I work with school-age children, adolescents, teens, and adults. Also, I see couples and families, who experience a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, abuse & neglect, academic difficulties, behavioral problems, self-harm, family conflict, relationship issues, and grief & loss. I utilize a person-centered approach which involves empathic understanding, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard. Together we can work towards healing and recovery.
