Really just a horrible company and “program” that disguises itself as helping people get healthy. From a customer perspective, they are over priced and require you to buy their products that are full of unhealthy ingredients. There is a ton of turn over in Lawrence and Topeka due to how poorly they treat their employees and I know for a fact they fired the best manager they ever had all because she was a victim of domestic violence and had to go to the hospital for her injuries. They fired her for missing work the day she was attacked… I can not support a place that treats their staff like that. Especially when she came in and was doing so much to improve the Topeka store. She was always the one there for us and actually cared about her customers I don”t think she had ever even taken a sick day in the many months I was a client. I already felt it was high priced and my dr. Didn”t agree with their product ingredients but when they did that to that poor sweet girl my friends and I vowed to never give that company another dime. Shame on them! Don”t support this horrid company!

Very disappointed in the center and the diet. I wish I had read the complaints before joining. I too was charged like $299.00 to join and left without one thing except what to eat for 3-4 days. During those days the diet wasn”t that bad. But when you return, you have to buy all these products and given an 800 calorie diet, which is very very hard to adhere to. I was pressured to buy an extra bottle of HCG at a discounted price, and under the impression that the 2nd bottle would be needed, even though I told them I only wanted to stay on the dietn for 30 days. I have followed the diet religiously for 3 weeks and have not even used a 1/4 of one bottle of HCG. At the time of purchase, I had no idea what the bottle looked like, the amount in bottle, and what little amount I would be using. After 3 weeks, and puchasing additional products, such as their protein drinks, I tried to return the unopened products, plus the extra bottle of HCG. The center makes it very clear that they will not honor any returns, even though they are not opened. I had bought these on a Monday and tried to return on a Wed. I was told they did not think it was good customer service to sell items returned, even though they were unopened products…However, they have a basket of opened products of individual envelopes which allows a customer to exchange products they do not like for something else. I will stay on the diet the remainder of this week to allow me to use the products. I have lost weight, but not at a pound per week as they claim the diet works. I am a firm believer now that anyone can lose weight on an 800 calorie diet, without all those other products and the expense. If you go to one of these centers, please check out the diet food plan before you commit. I can assure you will be get very frustrated at eating 4 egg whites each and every day for breakfast. There is absolutely no variety allowed. And you can forget any eating out. You are a diet hermit. Their advertisement (brochures) also claim you are monitored by a physician. I have not seen one yet, even though I visit the center twice per week. Oh and by the way, when I tried to return the products, the manager said they could switch me to another program which usually costs over $200 but they would waive that fee…but of course I would have to continue on their products…Yea right!

This is one of the most poorly ran business ever. If I could pay for this very expensive diet, weigh all my food, eat only what is on my diet drive 50 miles one way every week you would think they could be prepared. No, only 1 time almost 6 months have they had what I needed. The excuses are never good ones, if they even can give you an answer. I have asked for the manager to call me but I am not important enough. Make no mistake, I have lost weight because I have taken this diet much more seriously than they have. No, I will not pay to reup. The manager will not call you back to answer questions about ordering. They are completely unprofessional!!!

The programs and services offered at this location are terrible. Not to mention the customer service. My husband and I have been treated terribly! I began the weight loss program in August, during the consultation I was promised 100% support and motivation from all staff. Week 1 I followed the preconditioning program to the letter. Went in for my first appointment the lady Veronica who took me in rudely said I didn”t have an appointment and said I needed to reschedule and refused to do the appointment. I said this must have been a misunderstanding and is there someone else who can help me? After 45 minutes of waiting someone finally helped me. Week 1 second appointment was for the nutrition information class, I called prior to my appointment and asked if I could come in early as I had a family matter to attend to. The young lady Ally rudely said no if you can”t come in for your appointment then you have to reschedule. I explained to her if I waited this would prolong my success and for a week and asked if there was anyway she could work something out. She put me on hold. At this point I was already at the center so I walked in to her speaking with the manager making accusations that I was being rude, and that I was yelling and swearing at her. I spoke up and so I most certainly was not and I do not appreciate you accusing me of such a thing. The manager took me in apologized for her behavior and assisted me. Week 2 1st visit, met with a young lady did not get her name weighed in gained weight, asked had all of my meal plans written in full detail young lady didn”t even review it. She accused me of eating off program and repeatedly tore me to pieces. I stated to her that I did follow the program and showed her the meal plan, I also explained some of the things I was experiencing and she documented several negative comments in my file against my personality as well as her opinion of my lack of commitment to the program. Week 3 Met with Becca explained to her all the issues above, and that I wanted to quit the program. She pleaded with me to stay and give it another chance. I told her that they would have to earn my trust back and I would have to speak with my husband about it. At this point I was unable to decide as my husband was not happy with the treatment I was receiving. October 18, I received an email from Becca checking in with me, asking where I stand and if I had made my decision. October 20; I replied to Becca informing her that I still had not made up my mind, and that after the way I had been treated that I was having a very difficult time getting past all of that and after already spending so much money, I would need some sort of incentive to prove to me this would be worth it. October 22; Becca responded letting me know that the problems had been addressed and the other ladies would be happy to see me and that I would get all the support I need. October 23; 5:45pm went into the clinic, was greeted warmly. Veronica met with me, before even going over any weight loss or program details she stated that because I am such a sensitive person and I am always on the defensive and I am attacking her I should just schedule an appointment with Becca. I then read Becca”s email to her that stated all the staff would be happy to support me and help. Veronica then told me that some programs are just not for everyone, and if that the case go get a second opinion. She then stood up and proceeded to walk out of the room. My husband was with me and spoke up and said that is not right she came in here for your help and you are not listening to anything she needs. Veronica then sat back down and again began to criticize my personality and character by accusing me of yelling and being defensive rather than assist with my weight loss. I continued to share what my struggles were and where I needed help, but she just kept telling me if you don”t want to do the program then I don”t know what to tell you. At this point we were very frustrated and we just left.

So I”m 6 weeks into my first experience withe MRC.. So withe that said, here is what I”ve come to find out. What HCG and the MRC experience is, is a controlled starvation diet. Controlled starvation is a way to describe, how the body will live off the fat, and not consume many calories. Any “diet”(MRC hates theat word) that restricts fruits and vegetables, has to be weighed and looked at differently and with a fine tooth comb. Upon my initial consult and sign up, HCG(inject-able and 2 30 day rounds) and a few supplements were $1, 013.00. This was enough to last me the first 30 days on supplements(drinks, corti-trim, vitamin, mineral). Now keep in mind, I don”t care about the cost. It is what it is, and I signed up for it. I was also told by the LPN that did my physical review that 750 calories would not be enough to keep me from feeling badly. Then on my very next visit, a nice but uneducated person, said I should only be on 900 calories tops! Not a LPN, not a medical expert, but a office manager of a MRC, told me that my body only required 900 calories a day. Unreal, and unbelievable. On about my 4th visit I ran into a woman at the office, that in no uncertain terms, was the definition of “###”. Excuse my language please. To this day I refuse to weigh in with her. As I sat in this lady”s office, I bought what she sold, and at the end said it was her job to get her clients to “support the office” by buying these items(this was after I mentioned I found a lot of their stuff online/gnc). Needless to say, it was the last time I bought anything @ MRC. I”m still injecting thee HCG as well as eating thee right things. However I felt that I was emotionally unhappy and created some cheating within the program. I do have a 50 calorie diabetic vanilla yogurt(dairy is just about forbid on HCG), as well as one meal a week where the gloves come off. It keeps me happy, and it keeps me feeling in control. Now with that said, they said I would lose about 60 lbs in 60 days. I”m not close to that. But that is because I choose to not be that way, not anyone @ MRC. I”ve lost 31lbs to date and I”m on day 48. If I lose only 36lbs in 60 days, then I”m OK with it. I might even do another round or two of HCG after thee mandatory 3 week break from injections. However I will not be buying any of the supplements, and I”ll be going to my doctor to get a script for HCG and pay my co-pay of 20.00 for thee visit and 50.00 for the script. Don”t want to spend the money? Don”t. Go to your doctor and tell him you want a 2 monthe supply of HCG. Then follow a 1000 calorie diet a day, and fill up on protein and you”ll lose at least 1/2lb a day and save hundreds if not theousands of dollars.
