Product purchased 2010 Box Serial No. [protected] and 2 packages were consumed with no odor. Recently, the product was opened after a long period of no use, and a profound obnoxious odor was present. The company said to just throw them out because the odor was probably from something in our cupboard. That is impossible since the crackers were sealed in air tight wrappers. Something is not right here. Last time I will purchase from Kraft Foods North America!

Your Nibisco Crackers Original saltine, have been my favorite cracker, until you decided to change the original saltine from salt to seasalt and they are NOT original anymore, so stop the false advertising, as the original saltine crackers did not have seasalt, I know for a fact as I have one of your original boxes with the ingredients listed on it, and seasalt was not one of those ingredients. Every since you changed the ingredients, your Original (false claim) are not crisp, they are tough as though they are stale. I have noted several complaints that state, they think they are buying old product that has expired, which is not the case, it is your new seasalt and maybe other items you change, but regardless these are not Nibisco Crackers Original. If you want to sell the crackers with seasalt, then tell the public the truth on the box, but for us who really like the original salt and loved the crisp cracker, bring them back and stop trying to fool us. Did you think we would not tast the difference and you would just sneak the word Original with seasalt onto the box and you could fool the public. Shame on you. Keebler saltine crackers was never my first choice, but at present, they have a much better cracker than yours, because you decided to try and fool your consumer with this crap you are calling your original saltine cracker. As for me and my family, we will be buying Keebler saltine crackers, until you decide to really go back to the Oringinal Saltine Crackers. Thank you for hopefully listening, James Cheyne

We opened a new box of saltines and added them to our chicken soup. The flavor and smell was off. I checked the soup. It was fine. So I checked the Nabisco Saltines. The box looked normal but when opened it had a strange smell to it. The crackers themselves smelled bad. The smell reminded me of fuel injector cleaner that burned on an engine. A smell that didn’t dissipate with the box left open. The crackers felt almost oily or waxy oily. We had already put crackers in the soup. It was ruined. The flavor of the soup was overpowered by the smell and taste of the saltines. I immediately got sick.

Today I gave my kids some saltine crackers, and my son immediately said they taste bad. I took one sniff and WHEW! They smelled like a refinery! I grabbed the entire box and took a whiff of the other sleeve, and yes, the same horrid chemical smell. You would think I”d learned my lesson. This was my second experience with this smell from the Nabisco branded saltine crackers. It really makes you wonder about the processing and/or packaging of these products. I can see from the comment boards that I am not alone and there are a few examples of this happening. Never again.

This is a pet peeve, but here we go: I like the products, good snack food; however, one package in ten has a bad seal on one end or sometimes, both ends. If I open the box and neglect to check to see if the plastic sleeve is (Heat?) sealed at both ends, I sometimes get a trail of cracker crumbs across the table or worse, the kitchen floor. I have even had one package that was stale, the opening was so large. I have emailed the company with no reponse, I called to ask for communication with the quality staff at the bakery, and they took my name and sent me a coupon for a free box of crackers. It meant that they just want me to go away. “Don’t bother us”. If this was a one time event, I wouldn’t be complaining, but it happens every month or two (I like these crackers, eat a lot). My question is multi-pronged: 1) why is it that all the other Nabisco products are well sealed but not Saltines?? 2)How can I reach someone in the quality department of Nabisco (a division of Kraft Foods) and have a rational conversation? This sealing issue is one that I have never run into before with a Nabisco product (I am a faithful customer) but Saltines has repeat problem after problem! They have to know about it. Oh; one time one of the packages had little bugs in it. Threw that one out.

Purchased on December 6, 2019 at Kroger in Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 on Carrondale Drive. Open them on December 20th at a family Christmas party. The crackers literally crumbled in the wax paper sleeve. Could not even put a cheese or meat slice on one without the cracker falling apart. Impossible a use to dip. Resolution: Make the Ritz Crackers like they used to be made. Will no longer be purchasing them in their present condition. Thank you.

Recently used an old family recipe and coated pork chops with crumbled saltines. Upon eating the pork chops we noticed a powerful, chemical taste like paint thinner. Upon inspecting the box of crackers, found two unopened sleeves as well as the one I used, that reeked of chemicals. We had to throw out our dinner as well as the crackers. Searching on line I’ve found a number of places where there are similar complaints, yet I’m unable to find any notice from Nabisco/Mondelez. How wide spread is/was this?

What the hell has happened to kraft cheese since dairylea has taken over??? It is soft spongy, not the same taste, even when grilled, I can tell you, it is not the same kraft cheese I have eaten and enjoyed for the past 40 plus years.. It seems the original recipe has been changed for what ever reason to change the company name also, I have noticed it as soon as the new product came into stores, Bottom line, the new product is absoulute crap!!!

Purchased box of Nabisco Original Premium Saltine crackers on 2/6/2018. Product Code [protected] We have eaten Nabisco Saltines for decades. We opened this box and the crackers were nothing like the real Original Premium Saltines. They very flat, not crumbly, no salt and tasted like cardboard. There was also an unusual odor coming from the box. We threw it out. I was afraid we might get ill. If Nabisco decided to replace the Original Saltines with a new cracker, they need to change the name of the cracker or notify the public of the new recipe.
