Through Cognitive Behavioral techniques we understand the connection between our thoughts and emotions. I work with individuals that are struggling with life’s transitions. Caregiver stress, chronic illness, pain, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and grief are only some of the issues. By using solution focused therapy, clients can begin to feel better in a shorter time frame. I have a practice in north Raleigh for 20+ years and before that I had a private practice in south Florida.Many of us came from dysfunctional families learning coping skills that helped us navigate through those challenges as children and young adults. Often times we continue using these same coping skills in our current lives. However, we find they are now self defeating and can prevent us from feeling successful and good about ourselves.Learn to recognize and build on your strengths and resilience from those past experiences.Being able to identify the defense mechanisms that can get in the way of having peace of mind. I am only accepting clients via telehealth who are located in Florida and North Carolina. Most insurance covers this mode of therapy.
