As a certified (K-12) school counselor for thirty years, I have continuously provided the tools and strategies needed to build successful relationships and positive communication between children, teens, their parents and/or grandparents. I help families adjust to changes such as divorce, step-parenting and blended families, as well as family relocation. When working with couples, I strive to minimize their stress by creating a warm atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and positive results.”Moving the Body Moves the Mind” Walk and Talk Therapy is very similar to traditional therapy. The difference is that you are walking while identifying the issues that have led to ongoing stress and anxiety within yourself and your relationships. Walking is relaxing and can be conducive to self-discovery. Meeting at my office is always an available option.Reducing stress, anxiety and anger in children, teens and adults is my focus. I will help you: 1) identify the thoughts that often produce negative feelings, and 2) adjust those thoughts which will 3) encourage positive changes in your life.
