Rescucom is the biggest joke in the computer repair industry!! DO NOT…DO NOT use these con artists!!! I had a computer problem and called them to fix it they sent a technician over to the house and he fumbled around for about an hour and a half but got nothing fixed!! I got charged over $140 plus they charged me with one of their own Anti-viruses that didn’t work — I got more and more viruses. I called and got through to the president of the company and he laughed at me saying there’s nothing I could do to get my money back and then proceeded to threaten me by saying that only they can get the anti-virus removed but it will cost a lot of money. He continued to laugh!! I later got another technician from another company over to fix what Rescucom did and the tech told me that most of his clients are victims of Rescuecom and told me they are a scam company hiring inexperienced techs. I also was told the same by a few techs at a local MicroCenter (computer super center). Bottom line…find someone else at all costs!!!

This company is a joke. I had been having startup problems with my PC, and I knew it was the power source. I called RescueCom and they agreed with me and would sent a tech out. When he got here he made comments about me having an old monitor, and no plastic sheeting underneath my chair. He then took my computer apart, vacuumed it, and told me that it was the power source. Big surprise there. He told me he could repair it, but it would take about 4 hours because he would need to install it, then program the computer, and install a firewall. He then told me if he were to go buy the power source, I would be charged a expedite fee. Their ad states no hidden fees or travel charges. When I told him that, he said an expedite fee is for him to go and get the part. A travel fee is him getting to my home. Sounds like a travel fee to me no matter what spin you put on it. That is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard. I couldn’t get him out of my house fast enough. When I told him it was a rip off, he hung around to call his supervisor, and tried to get me to again commit to having them repair it. My friend called me during this, and couldn’t believe he was waiting around on his phone, in my home, calling his manager. She said, “GET HIM OUT!” I finally did. DON’T ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY! THEY SUCK!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!! THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM !!! I was having issues with my computer linking to my wireless router, so made the call to Rescuecom. I was told by the person on the phone that a technician will be calling for a flat rate of $128 (regardless of time spent on the phone). The technician, who was absolutely worthless (he knew a bit more about computers than I did…), was unable to fix the problem and blamed it all on my internet provider. He then said he would call the internet provider himself to try and figure out why the problem could not be fixed…never heard back from him since… Approx 3 days later I gave them a call back to see what the status was, and NO ONE had any idea, and was told by a very UN-friendly customer service agent that they would call the technician and ask what the status was…heard nothing back from them again… Decided to call them again 4 days later, and still NO ONE had an idea as to where the technician was or the status on the work order… I asked them to go ahead and cancel the work order and please reimburse me for the amount that I was charged as NOTHING got fixed… At which point the highly UN-sympathetic customer service agent went on to say that they would have to do a “full investigation” before I would get my money back, and that I would receive a confirmation in 24 to 48 hours… heard nothing back from them again so decided to call 4 days later at which time I was told that the investigation was still ongoing and that the President of the company would have to approve the reimbursement of this payment (a mere $128)…Finally when I calmly mentioned I would contact BBB and other Depts to report their service as a SCAM, the lady said “that’s fine!!” and quickly got off the phone with me… the issue is yet to be resolved… I am a small business and a firm supporter of US small businesses, but no wonder we are losing tech jobs to India and China…you can’t really understand them but at least they are courteous and somewhat sympathetic to your situation…my only advice is to STAY AWAY from Rescuecom and hope no one else goes through the hell I just experienced…

This company charges $99.00 per hr. to send a tech to your house to fix/troubleshoot computer problems. On 2/4, a tech came tomy house. Spent 1 3/4 hrs. trying to correct networking problem. Paid $187.50. Five minutes after tech left, I had same problem he supposedly fixed. He also gave me a new wireless network which was UNSECURED,because he didnt know that he was able to choose SECURED or UNSECURED while fixing it. Had me call APPLE to get ADM. PASSWORD. Apple told me tech sets up password. When I called to complain, manager offered to send over same tech. I refused same tech because she was not too savy. Manager responded he was only tech available. I told him to forget about it it and I put a STOP PAYMENT on check. So please be very careful about computer techs who come to your house. NEVER pay cash. There are a lot of ripoff PEOPLE IN THIS BUSINESS.
