The decision to seek out therapy can be daunting. It often means admitting to ourselves that there may be something wrong, and that can be scary. It takes a LOT of courage to seek help. Overcoming that battle, is the first step toward positive change. I strive to create a safe environment, where it’s ok to feel vulnerable. In collaboration with you, we will plot a course to a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life! You will learn to change the way you think about the world using the most well established and thoroughly researched model of therapy available (CBT).I am board certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the American Board of Professional Psychology. This is the most rigorous certification available, with only 4% of psychologists achieving it. I am one of only four psychologists in Central Florida with this certification, and the only one in private practice.I am also a military psychologist, an OIF veteran, and a professor of psychology at UCF where I conduct research on mental health issues and train future therapists how to conduct therapy. I specialize in applying CBT to relationship issues (families and couples), anxiety, panic, trauma, and depression.
