Puchased car with co signer. They did bankruptcy a yr later. My online account is disabled. Why I didnt file. I make the payments etc. Requested a monthly statement told cant do this due to my co signers bankruptcy. This is insane!! I called they sent me payment history. But I have to request that each month. My car is mine. The co signer never listed on title. Nobody will refinance due to their bankruptcy. How can this be fair or right

Purchased vehicle 11-2013. I have since made the payment for the amount on contract and now I owe more than I paid for the vehicle in 2013. The contract contains rate and terms that are predatory in consumer practices. My loan is paid and now I have another 30 months of car payments? No. this is not possible. unpaid fees and charges? RESPA needs to come and take over your industry. I have called for options and solutions, well I was told to pay my payments. I am requesting the pink slip be released and a zero balance recorded. We have now gone into area of financial exploitation expecting senior citizens to pay this rate of doing business. Client # 5924101

To Whom It May Concern, You stated in an email to me that you are committed to providing me with the highest quality service and security. How does deactivating my current card end (that has an embedded chip) and reissuing me another debit card (that also has an embedded chip) provide me with a higher level of service and security? It doesn”t! It actually provides a lower quality of service because now I have to call all of the merchants that I have automatic payments with. I called your customer service number and they said that there is nothing that they can do for me! Sincerely, Mr. Scott Rand

Your ATM took $11 dollars from me. Then i called customer support and she”s telling me that is going to take 24 hrs in order for the branch to review the incident. Please upgrade your ATM. Believe it or not those $11 was going to complete a loan of $323 that i pay weekly. I need the money now not in 24hrs. This is not right! – J J and F Vending LLC

Santander bought my auto loan from United Credit Corp on or about May 2010. For 3 years, I have not missed a payment on my loan (I paid through auto pay). At the beginning of my dealings with Santander, I”ve incurred problems, in that they have a nonworking website where they say you can make payments, it does nothing after you provide the requested information; I spoke with a Santander rep who said she would assist me in setting up my autopay account online. The rep took my banking info but the payment was never processed. I then called Santander and was told they do not do autopay online. The letter clearly states autopay online is available. This is false and misleading advertisement. I”ve had nothing but grief since day one with this company.

We agree with the recent complaints against santander consumer usa! We are having many of the same issues. My loan started with wells fargo back in 2008, then passed to citifinancial group, which we are being told changed their name to santander consumer usa. When the name changed, apparently so did my original loan amount. How can they change my original loan payment agreement to a higher amount without my acknowledgement or consent? My payments were 729.00 and I was on time with all payments, how do I go from a contract owing 31, 000.00 to owing 38, 000.00 after months of payment 729.00? But when we figure all the payments and fees we have already paid them will over 31, 000.00 and headed toward 45, 000.00! This lender is taking advantage of consumers, we feel trapped by this loan and just want out! The car is falling a part and every car dealer we’ve tried to trade the car in with will not touch it due to the company, they don’t want to deal with them at all and will not touch the vehicle for that reason only.

Usury and exorbitant sub-prime car loan payments and accrued interest rates of $5.00 a day from this auto financing institution that has my wife and I upside down with this car loan. The car loan is as follows, the vehicle was priced at $13, 995 and a $3000 trade in was taken by the dealer. $10, 995 was financed with an interest rate of 27.99. $16, 000 or more have been made in payments and a balance of $9093.85 dollars still remains on the loan, plus misc fees and daily accrued interest. We went through 1 repossession during the life of the loan and had to come up with the monies to get the car back which was $850. Would like to join the class action lawsuit. [protected]@gmail.com

This company is horrible. We originally had our car loan through drive finical, in april 09 we filed bankruptcy (I know not our finest moment) and at that time (when I went to make a payment online) I also learned that drive finical was bought out by santander, I also learned that because we filed bankruptcy that we could no longer log into our online account and we would no longer receive a payment coupon (still haven”t figured that one out. During the bankruptcy process there is a form that both the car loan company, ourselves, and our attorney signs that says we still want the car. Every time my attorney would send this form off to santander we would get no response from them, our attorney sent a total of 5 and none were answered. One saturday in august I was packing up to head out of state to see my grandma, who was in the hospital and not doing well, when their was a knock at the door from a repo man… What? Of course santander was closed already so I couldn”t talk to them, I talked the repo man into letting me keep my car till I could talk to this company, I had never been late, so I couldn”t understand why they were taking my car. Finally on monday morning I was able to speak with a supervisor and she informed me that we never signed a form with our bankruptcy that said we wanted to keep the car… Really are you kidding me? My attorney sent it 5 times santander never signed it. She told me to have my attorney send it again (and let me tell you in all the times he sent it out it cost us an extra 100 per time so here we are up to 600) and that I would need to western union them 500 to let them know that I was serious. Done call my attorney, find the closest western union company… Everything was done that day! Well, that following thursday night here is another repo man knocking at our door, this time the car is already hooked up. I try to call and of course they are closed. To make this long story short they made an mistake that cost us more money to drive almost 2 hours to pick up our car. Now here we are in feb 2010 and it just happened again this morning. At 6am we had the repo man knocking on our door to see if we wanted to get the car seats out. And of course santander doesn”t open till 8 my husband works at 12 where we have to pick up the car is 2 hours away and I need it tomorrow to travel out of state for work. This company has been nothing but a headache. It is time to change companies.

Soverign bank needs to be pressured with imminent (bk) threats or mediation law and procedures. They are basically a giant collection agency. They purchase the distressed mortgage at extreme discounts from various key players in the sub-prime arena. They collect aggressively on this paper. They do not play by the rules and need to be pressed hard. We have completed successful loan restructuring cases with sovereign. They are all long run and brutal battles. When I woke up to find 8 transactions in the exact amount of $66.86 from tokyo disney (I live in nj) I called customer service. I am overdrawn nearly 1500 as a result. I was told that they can do nothing except note it, because the charges haven”t yet posted. I have to call them back when the charges do post to ask and have them reversed. Oh, so the charges can”t be reversed because they haven”t posted, but they can deduct the $ with no challenge whatsoever. The rep had zero compassion for the event, for the fact that I have no money or access to money (my debit card is now cancelled and have to wait 10 days for a replacement) less than two weeks til christmas. Disgusting. This account will be closed as soon as this is resolved and i”m filing a complaint with the dept of banking and insurance in nj.
