I recently signed-up for the “Spirit $9 Airfare” program. Spirit Airlines consequently charged me for $59.95 for this program. I’ve contacted Spirit on 3 occasions to speak to a customer service representative to cancel this service and reverse charges and have been placed “on hold” for over 15 minutes each time.
This product/program is falsely advertised and Spirit offers no good method to speak with a customer service representative. Spirit says that its in big bold writing about the 59.00 dollar charge but after stating only 9 dollars over and over again throughout their web site thats all you see is the nine dollar charge.
This is very misleading and in my opinion false advertising. I talked to three company reps with the same result, no refund and all they tell you is its clearly stated in the conditions. I have no issue with the nine dollar fee; its the fifty for the annual membership. With this company if the consumer makes a mistake they will not work with you to resolve it. If you look at the BBB web site they have over two thousand complaints to the BBB, why has nothing been done. Is there anyone out there protecting the consumer. I demand refund. Stay away
