I work with my clients to provide a variety of coping skills in order to manage day to day stressors. Many of my clients have struggled with depresssion, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideations. Being formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has allowed me to help clients with severe emotional dysregulation.It is essential to find the methodology that will be most effective for the client. I practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. The goal of treatment is to learn more effective skills in order to reach the client’s potential and improve his/her quality of life.I provide individual and group therapy. Weekly, I run skills groups, teaching skills from the DBT training manual of distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills as well as other coping strategies and how to build and maintain healthy relationships for teens.
