Requesting to OPT OUT of any company’s database, means not be over looked or set with a time period (6 months of removing public data) and then restoring the data without notification and then you have iformation being provided to the public that is outdated (breech’s statue of limitations laws, privacy rights, and defamation of ones character). At what point do we take control and prevent this from happening to avoud ruining a person or person’s life. Too many companies such as these out source their customer service departments and you end up dealing with individuals who do not care what is beig reported, do not care that you have false information provided, and at some poimt will take you information and utilize so that they can perform idenity theft in some fashion. We have no checks and balances n place for companies such as this and if the world is too large for companies to control what they publish per haps they should be fined for just cause of not following guidelines that protect the consumer.

WhitePages.com refuses to take responsibility for the outdated information they publish in their business listings. For seven months, we have tried to get them to remove two listings for our business that have completely outdated information and to correct one listing that lists a phone number that is no longer in service. Their response every time has been that they simply republish information supplied by their information providers and that we need to contact the original sources of the information, which in our case are CityGrid and ExpressUpdate. In fact, we have contacted these information providers. They have been extremely cooperative and have been disseminating the correct data for months, yet WhitePages refuses to clean up the data on its own site, even though we have sent them the specific URLs of the incorrect listings. This is a serious problem because WhitePages is a major source of information to Google. We believe they may be the reason Google continues to publish an outdated phone number that is available almost nowhere else on the Internet. This has confused current and potential customers, and has done untold damage to our business. We have spent months trying to clean up the mess. Unless WhitePages starts taking responsibility for the false data they are propagating, they are exposing themselves to potential legal action. We recommend that you boycott WhitePages.com and use a more responsible online directory.

Whitepages.com has a link to remove listings from their website but it seems to be a SCAM. I found someone on their website that is listed using my address and phone number. The person DOES NOT live at my address. I went to their “remove listing” link where they require you to copy an image for the listing to be removed. The letters and numbers are so blurry you can hardly see them and they are case sensitive. I tried to use this link and entered the images 15 different times. Each time I would get a message in red stating that the images and characters I typed don”t match.–try again. I went to their sponsored site 411.com and tried to remove the listing there. After 10 attempts I got the same error message on that site. This seems to be intentionally set up so you can”t remove errors or remove your entire listing. Customer support is no help–they give you instructions for listing removal that don”t even work! I don”t know where they get their information from on people”s names and addresses . This is an invasion of privacy because they are publishing information about people who did not give their permission–especially if it is wrong information. White Pages should be reported to whatever federal agency handles privacy rights. I would encourage others to check out White Pages and all of their affiliates to see if they have done the same thing to you and report them. Shame on White Pages!

Whitepages provide scary information. They put the people whom I am not known as my relative. The following is the description under whitepages of me, I know none of those people, may be met them once, but not twice. I dislike very much, cause some house haunting by sai ying wong to me is going on, but people thought they are my family. No blood related. And house haunting meant sexual assault, intrude spy on you everybit doing inside your apartment and speak with you with a group of stray ghost and distributing you to pray to god and do your religion. I can not call police if people kept on mis-interprete incident and truth. And hit your god and soul every minute/second. I wish whitepages.com has a complaint sheet for public to clear the fault and go on with their lives. Or white pages should exist or stay private. And Sai Ying Wong is Chinese guy, how there is a Jr. after the name? I do not know them, please deleted it. I was trying to post this complaint last week, but some terriost use bad connection to erase my complaint, this this thrill. I wish you luck. All the best to good people. Happy New Year 2020.
