The Scam… Sneaky and Skilled
Note: This is the experience I’ve both experienced and read on the BBB. (94%+ negative ratings online as well.)
Scam Part 1: [the “catch” makes it seem realistic] You pay to have the advertisement shipped.
Scam Part 2: [reassure victim] You will be “reimbursed plus additional money as part of promotion”… Once [insert something simple] is done.
Scam Part 3: [promise big payout] As a “premium member” you’ll receive $500 per sale through advertisement.
Scam Part 4: [dangle carrot] Show funds in victim’s “account”. (only available after “first” sale is “confirmed”)
Scam Part 5: [Reassure victim] Nobody has called/purchased/had installation… We promise. (no way to confirm/check truthfulness)
Scam Part 6: [keep victim on the hook] Why yes you did finally get a sale!… Just wait for us to work out [insert technical issue] for your payment.
Scam Part 7: [string along and collect as many payments as possible… then move on to the next.]. I demand Return the stolen money. Stay away
